Heart of Darkness light bulb

I was asked by the theatre company Give It A Name to photograph their production of Heart of Darkness.

The show was very unusual as it was spread over three floors and several hallways and stairways throughout a building that’s also used as a restaurant, club and music venue. The audience was split into two groups who were lead separately around, only coming together for certain scenes. I went to a performance without my camera just to take notes and figure out how to capture it. I ended up shooting staged photos of the cast and also following one performance around the building dressed to fit in with the performers so I wouldn’t distract the audience too much. It was great fun, and the production itself is well worth seeing if it gets another run.
