Drum Eyes!??!??!

Drum Eyes
This show was a joint promotion between Lesson Number One and The Joy Collective.

There were three bands and I was looking forward to the headliner Drum Eyes because they feature DJ Scotch Egg who is pretty amazing on his own + 3 gameboys + nanoloop.

Photographically it was another chance for me to experiment with lighting at a gig. Most people who shoot bands live either don’t use flash or keep it on top of the camera. I want to get photos other people can’t and really show what the gig felt like – that takes a bit more work. There are a couple of my diptych panoramas too, which I haven’t seen anyone else do and which go nicely with my love of Richard Scarry’s What Do People Do All Day? There’s a larger version of one of the panoramas here.
